With the latest technologies, fast internet, incredible venue services and inspiring hospitality, we make seamless global event delivery effortless. About the Role We are now seeking an experienced customer-focused Technical Support Officer to join our vibrant Wellington team at our centrally located venue. This role is offered as a casual role (approx. 8-10+ hours per week), with potentially more hours available depending on the needs of the business. Some weekend and evening work may also be available.Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating and executing the technical and non-technical aspects of room setups and virtual events, supporting the Venue Manager with the daily operation of the venue and assisting clients and instructors with their requests during their events to ensure a remarkable experience is brought to life. This is a hands-on client facing role, giving you the opportunity to assist in delivering various aspects of corporate events. On a day-to-day basis, you will take ownership of all technical components of each event when rostered on, and assist with general day to day venue support. On a day-to-day level, the role will encompass: Planning and coordinating events including technical and non-technical set-up and equipment requirements.Ensuring the venue is kept in pristine condition and is maintained throughout the day.Welcoming clients on arrival, ensuring they have everything they need for their event and actioning any additional requests.Supervising of events requiring virtual connections, video and phone conferencing.Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues About you As the ideal candidate you will have well rounded technical and client service experience within corporate events, hospitality or retail.In addition, you will:Demonstrate proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Possess excellent communication skills and a customer service focus.Have the ability to coordinate multi-premise video-conferencing solutions across both physical and virtual environmentsHave experience in a fast-paced and multi-faceted environment.Be calm under pressure, and able to make intelligent and effective decisions.Show a solid understanding of audio-visual fundamentals and technologies.Have a sound knowledge in networking – TCP/IP, DHCPProven experience working with Windows operating systems.Display a strong attention to detailHave the ability to work unsupervisedBe physically fit and able to perform corporate event room setupsWhy join us? We are a progressive company that welcomes input from our team at all levels.Our 400 team members across Asia Pacific are the key ingredient in creating our inclusive workplace and remarkable experiences for our customers and each other.
