With the latest technologies, ultra-fast internet, incredible venue services and inspiring hospitality, we make seamless global event delivery effortless.About the RoleDue to the growth in virtual events and web conferencing, an amazing opportunity has opened up for an experienced AV / Events Technical Manager to join us in 2021.   As part of our Head Office IT team, you’ll bring your specialist expertise to advise and collaborate on the AV solutions for our hybrid and virtual events and conferences –regardless of location.  We have a great portfolio of corporate and government clients – including many of the world’s largest and respected organisations and you will play a key role in bringing their events to life.On a day-to-day level, the role will encompass: Project Management - Planning and coordinating the AV side of corporate event setups (and collaborating with local event delivery staff to deliver the brief)Developing internal procedures and training for our venue technicians to enhance their skillsSupporting clients with their AV technical requirements for initial setup and remotely during events eg. audio requirements, video conferencing, lighting, sound etc.Providing technical expertise and solutions to support the Sales team when conducting client site inspections, technical tours and when pricing proposalsEnsuring Cliftons is using the right equipment / technology for the client requirement and provide recommendations on new technologies to deliver a remarkable experienceWhat you will bringOur ideal candidate will have a minimum 5+ years professional AV experience - which could be gained from live shows, TV, concerts, podcasts or from a corporate background project-managing the AV side of large events.Technical Skills and Experience:Client / event project management skills & experience with the ability to pivot to changing project briefs – you will need to be agile!Experience with video conferencing across multiple platforms with a solid understanding of the underlying technologiesSolid understanding of audio-visual fundamentals and technologiesSetting up audio systems (PA’s, mixing boards etc.)Connecting and managing video equipment (data projectors, large screens, video switching equipment etc)Video (Camera), framing and lighting experienceExperience with video editing and webcasting is desirablePersonal attributes:Excellent written communication skills – with the ability to communicate technical information in an easy- to-understand way to non-technical stakeholdersStrong customer focus with a positive and proactive approach to client serviceProven problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and to make intelligent and effective decisionsMethodical approach to work, with a strong attention to detailExcellent organisation skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the briefOpen to ongoing learningBe physically fit and able to perform corporate event room setupsWhy join us?
