Venue Support Technician – Casual or Part-time

With the latest technologies, fast internet, incredible venue services and inspiring hospitality, we make seamless global event delivery effortless.About the Role We are now seeking an experienced customer-focused Technical Support Officer to join our Wellington team at our stunning centrally located venue. This new role is offered as a part-time or casual role (approx. 20+ hours per week), with potentially more hours available depending on the needs of the business.Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating and executing the technical and non-technical aspects of room setups and virtual events, supporting the Venue Manager with the daily operation of the venue and assisting clients and instructors with their requests during events to ensure a remarkable experience is brought to life. This is a hands-on client facing role within a small team, giving you the opportunity to assist in delivering various aspects of corporate events. On a day-to-day basis, you will take ownership of all technical components of each event - offering plenty of variety in your work.The role will encompass: Planning and coordinating events including technical and non-technical set-up and equipment requirements.Ensuring the venue is kept in pristine condition and is maintained throughout the day.Welcoming clients on arrival, ensuring they have everything they need for their event and actioning any additional requests.Supervising of events requiring virtual connections, video and phone conferencing.Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues About youAs the ideal candidate you will have well rounded technical and client service experience within a fast-paced environment such as corporate events, hospitality or retail. In addition, you will display:A solid understanding of audio-visual fundamentals and technologies and can co coordinate multi-premise video-conferencing solutions across both physical and virtual environments.A sound knowledge in networking – TCP/IP, DHCPProven experience working with Windows operating systems.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.An ability to remain calm under pressure, and make intelligent and effective decisions.A strong attention to detailThe ability to work unsupervisedBe physically fit to be able to perform corporate event room setupsWhy join us?
