Venue Manager – Corporate Events

Due to an internal career movement, we are seeking to appoint a hands-on and charismatic Venue Manager to steer the team to even greater heights, cementing Cliftons’ reputation as the leader in our field.  About the RoleIn this evolving role, you will have full ownership of all delivery and operational aspects of the venue. Our business is diverse – from corporate training, to events to exams; your team of 12 full time staff and their reports will deliver over 4000 events each year. Your previous experience will ensure the highest levels of client service, venue management and general presentation are delivered. This role will also oversee and ensure that our F&B offerings tie in with our client’s discerning expectations. This venue and role are underpinned by a strong national sales team as well as a supporting Head Office team. There is no sales component to this role, however a healthy respect for the sales team working alongside you will be a distinct advantage. This position is business hours Monday to Friday.On a day-to-day level, the role will encompass:Overall management of the venue and maintaining service delivery KPI’sPre-empting client needs to deliver outstanding customer service and managing the feedback and resolution processRoster and team management  including recruitment (with support provided from HR)Venue budget managementConducting performance appraisals for Operations Team LeadersResponding quickly and professionally to any client queries or requestsOverseeing the overall presentation of staff and the venueProcess management and continual improvementLiaising with building management About YouAs the ideal candidate you will have well-rounded venue management experience within corporate events, hotels or client services.     In addition, you will:Be an effective leader, able to engage, motivate and manage a large and high performing teamHave proven experience multi-tasking and exceptional time management skillsThrive in a fast-paced and very busy corporate environmentDemonstrate outstanding customer serviceHave the ability to confidently identify issues and quickly find the most appropriate customer centric solutionBe self-motivated with excellent communication skillsBe able to demonstrate cost control and labour managementHave experience successfully managing multiple sites or spacesAbout the TeamWe are passionate about providing a high standard of customer service to our clients and are seeking a like-minded person to join the team.
