Chef – Corporate Dining

Providing more than 'just room hire', Cliftons helps event planners, project managers and industry professionals bring all the necessary elements together to deliver exceptional events. We are seeking a highly professional and outgoing Chef to assist with delivery of our Fresh concept within our two exceptional locations in Sydney’s CBD.You will work closely within a small team responsible for delivering outstanding catering for our delegates and clients, from 10 to 700 guests. You’ll prepare and present primarily buffet style offerings that stimulate and excite our attendees and maintain our catering levels to the consistently market-leading standard of our venues.This is an all-encompassing and challenging role that offers you the opportunity to show your creativity in preparing and displaying food within guidelines, whilst assisting with keeping food and labour costs in-line with budgets. You will be involved in kitchen operations at the venues including ordering, maintenance and menu creation.With opportunities to contribute ideas and collaborate with other chefs across our venues globally, you will grow your skills and develop your career in this high-end corporate environment.This role is predominately business hours, Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend or evening function required.The ideal candidate will:Be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalentHave previous experience in a similar role - delivering catering in a corporate environmentHave experience with ordering, stock levels and menu planningHave the desire to produce quality food and take genuine pride in their workPossess a genuine passion for the industry and have a keen eye for detailBe a team player, but also able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environmentBe friendly, outgoing and have exceptional customer service skills – some interaction with patrons will be requiredHave excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards and appropriate Food Safety Supervisor certification for NSW.About the TeamWe work hard and have fun along the way.
