Account and Business Development Manager

We are Asia Pacific’s leading provider of premium conference, business events and training venues with a blue-chip portfolio of clients, including many of the world’s largest and most respected organisations.  We deliver remarkable experiences for our clients across 11 locations in the Asia-Pacific region including a strong national presence in both Australia and New Zealand.The roleA fantastic opportunity has opened up for a self-driven B2B sales professional to join us at our stunning Wellington venue. As Account & Business Development Manager, you will use your customer-centric sales approach to build relationships across leading corporates and Government departments in Wellington. You will successfully negotiate short-term and long-term agreements with senior decision-makers and convert leads and uncovered opportunities into business.  With floor-to-ceiling windows on top of the city’s tallest building, our Wellington venue offers customisable space for unique training, conference and dining events. You’ll have no trouble showcasing your creative flair to position Cliftons as the venue of choice and create a remarkable experience for your clients!Key responsibilities:Developing new business and accounts through proven prospecting strategiesBuilding new revenue from existing accountsExceeding revenue targets and operating to KPIsMaximising conversion results from company generated leadsConducting client site inspections and working closely with clients to explore new event offeringsMentoring and coaching junior sales team memberTo be successful in this role you will have:3-5 years’ experience in B2B sales. This is largely a new business development role and will require an individual that loves the hunt and the close.Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. We work hard and play hard.Consultative sales approach and proven negotiation skills. We are looking for someone who can deliver the win/win.Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills. The right person needs to have the proven ability to connect with multiple levels.Time management and organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.Excellent and effective communication and presentation skills.The ability to positively contribute to your immediate team and the overall workplace cultureHigh energy – your success is our success.A formal qualification in business, marketing or similar is desirable, but not essential.
